1455391495 M * gnarface so after some more googling around at stuff that people used to complain about on these boards back in 2007-2008 i've now attemped to regain stability by disabling SATA in the bios and changing the PATA mode from AHCI to IDE (i wasn't using sata anyway and i doubt i got much performance increase from AHCI mode)

1455391746 M * gnarface the complaints were claimed at the time to be mitigated by going back to IDE mode in some cases (for windows users) and in a couple other reports for linux i think maybe passing pci=nomce or pci=nomsi or something like that to the kernel at boot?
